7th November at 7p.m - Brixton Review of Books with Will Eaves and Jennifer Hodgson
Brixton Review of Books is a free literary quarterly based in South London and we think it's brilliant. Join us for the BRB's first author event with readings from Will Eaves and Jennifer Hodgson. More details can be found here. Tickets for this event will be free but we do need people to register in advance so we know how many books and how much wine to bring to the party.
8th November at 7pm - The Invention of Angela Carter with Edmund Gordon + The Old Vic
This year for the Lit Fest we've teamed up with the Old Vic to offer you a great double bill. On the 8th we will have Edmund Gordon in store, author of the award winning biography; The Invention of Angela Carter. He'll be discussing her life and enduring legacy and in addition The Old Vic has offered a limited number of discounted tickets to Review customers to see Wise Children before the run ends. 10th November at 7pm - Spells: 21st Century Occult
Spells brings together thirty-six contemporary voices exploring the territory where justice, selfhood and the imagination meet the transformative power of the occult. These poems unmake the world around them, so that it might be remade anew. More details can be found here
11th November at 10 am - 11 am - The Story of the Windrush with Kandace Chimbiri
On Sunday 11th November Kandace Chimbiri author of The Story of the Windrush; a book which celebrates the inspiring legacy of the Windrush pioneers. Kids will have an opportunity to meet the author who will be giving a short talk and there will be a Windrush inspired activity to take part in. More details can be found here.
11th November at 7pm - The Single Mum's Mansion with Janet Hoggarth
Peckhams' own Janet Hoggarth is killing it right now. Her first adult novel The Single Mum's Mansion is a best seller and her story has been featured in The Guardian and Female First smong others.The Single Mums' Mansion is based on her experiences of living communally as a single parent and more details can be found here.
