Much acclaimed first time author Edmund de Waal will talk a little about his book, The Hare With Amber Eyes, A Hidden Inheritance, winner of the 2010 Costa Biography Award, followed by a question and answer session with the audience.
Edmund inherited a collection of 264 Japanese netsuke. His book traces their journey through generations of his remarkable family against the backdrop of a tumultous century.

Edmund de Waal is one of the world's leading ceramic artists, with his porcelain shown in many museum collections. The Hare With Amber Eyes was also shortlised for the Southbank Sky Arts Award for Literature and Edmund was named New Writer of the Year at the 2010 Galaxy National Book Awards.
