A completely joyful experience. Exuberant characters and fabulous storytelling. Original and irresistible. Writing such as this gives me goosebumps. "The bomb tore through the night like birth, and landed like a foundling on a dark suburban doorstep." And this, "If time could slow, she could have opened her eyes and seen air gather like a fist and punch in the door."
Anna Richards was chosen as one of The Culture Show 12 debut novelists to watch. She sure is!
